accepted as dog transport volunteers! I live in Cincinnati Ohio so have driven as far south as Lexington and Louisville Kentucky to Columbus and Westerville Ohio. I have so fortunate to have met so many great people but even greater dogs! I've been a part of last minute mom & puppy transports to the scheduled weekend transports. All in all I think I've personally moved approximately 25-30 dogs in my car alone. My first "tandem" run ended up with 6 dogs and the second driver never showed. I was in Lexington Kentucky and was determined that none of these pups would be left behind so thanks to the volunteer handing off who was able to loan me one of her small carriers we were able to get all of the dogs in the car with crates/small carriers stacked on top of themselves in the back seat. Everyone was safe and on their way to rescues. This has been the best experience of my life! It's a shame that more people aren't aware of this precious cargo transport and would volunteer! I find myself looking at cars now on the highway and wondering when I see a dog in the vehicle if it belongs to the driver or if it is being transported to some place for a chance at life! Thanks for your special! Had it not been showing when my friend/co-worker was channel surfing one evening, neither of us would be involved in such a great service to our furry friends!! Thanks again!
